Historian of the Early Republic
Studying at UCLA, Eric Saulnier is a historian of American and European political culture. He specializes in the early-nineteenth century world of letters, and is writing a dissertation about George Bancroft's circle of historians and the relationship between the origins of American historiography and the politics of national expansion. In addition to pursuing his research, Eric has taught the History of Western Civilization at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. He is currently a PhD candidate and a teaching fellow at UCLA.
